Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Devdutt Padikkal became the 3rd IPL player to have contracted the novel coronavirus. He tested positive for COVID-19 today. Padikkal has been isolated from the rest of the squad & is in quarantine.
The positive test now makes him doubtful for the IPL opener against reigning champions Mumbai Indians. Padikkal emerged as one of the biggest revelations of IPL 2020 as he was in fine form at the top of the order for RCB. Padikkal amassed 473 runs in his 15 IPL games at an average of 31.53.
