The AAP on Wednesday reacted sharply to Punjab Governor turning down a demand by the state govt to hold a special assembly session to introduce a confidence motion. AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in a tweet said, "Democracy is over".

The Governor withdrew the order to summon a special session on Sept 22, due to the “absence of specific rules” to do so. CM Bhagwant Mann had announced that a special session of the assembly would be convened.

The AAP on Wednesday reacted sharply to Punjab Governor turning down a demand by the state govt to hold a special assembly session to introduce a confidence motion. 

WHO?

The Delhi Chief Minister tweeted, "How can the governor refuse a session called by the cabinet? Then democracy is over. Two days ago, the Governor gave permission for the session. When Operation Lotus started failing and the number was not completed, a call came from above asking to withdraw the permission."

Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had announced that a special session of the assembly would be convened, days after the ruling AAP accused the BJP of trying to poach its MLAs and topple its government in Punjab.
